ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Joanna, Audiologist and Owner of Clear that Wax. I’ve been a practicing Audiologist for 15 years since graduating from The University of Manchester where I obtained a First Class BSc (Hons) degree with a clinical distinction in Audiology. Following this I've  spent over a decade gaining experience in all aspects of Audiology, eventually specialising in adult hearing rehabilitation and technology. I have worked in both NHS departments and managed private clinics during my career, adding a Microsuction Wax Removal qualification to my skill set in 2015. Since starting my family in 2017 I began providing part time NHS Audiology services in the Wirral area as a locum practitioner. I became aware that unfortunately many GP surgeries have not been able to continue offering free wax removal services to their patients, particularly since the Covid pandemic. As an Audiologist I see patients who need this service every week so I decided to set up my own  clinic to provide Microsuction Wax Removal for patients who would prefer to skip lengthy ENT waiting lists and have this procedure done as soon as possible. I pride myself on great clinical care and can't wait to meet any patients who need my help. 

When I'm not working I'm usually found at home with my husband, running around after our two young children and 3 rescue hens! I love food, photography and city breaks so I'm happiest when I'm exploring somewhere new - always with my camera in hand and looking for the next place to eat a good lunch!
